COVID-19 RENTAL ASSISTANCE

LASA understands the economic impact of the current pandemic. We will not sit back and watch our community fall; together we will push forward and rebuild our community!


If you are someone who is experiencing a financial loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may qualify for assistance. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Services are for Tacoma residents 

  • Must reside inside the city limits
  • Use link below to check if you reside within the city limits


*If you reside outside of Tacoma city limits, there may be alternative  rental assistance. Contact SHARE & CARE at 253.841.8886 ext. 800 or  email a request at COVID-RA@SHAREANDCAREHOUSE.ORG

Income must fall at 50% AMI or below

  • See INCOME GUIDELINE chart below to see if you and your household qualify


Services are for individuals and households that have lost income or employment due to COVID-19

  • Individuals will need to upload documentation of loss of income or employment (termination or lay-off letter, unemployment application letter, unemployment benefits status letter, pay stubs, etc.) 
  • AND upload their lease/rental agreement

APPLICATION:

*WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS AT THIS TIME 


1. Applications will be accepted from 4/22/2020 until 5/6/2020* 


2. Applications will be submitted into a lottery through LASA, applicants will be notified by mail or email once the selected application has been approved


3. Individuals needing language assistance or having trouble submitting their online form can call LASA at 253-582-5320 Monday thru Friday from 10 am until noon


4. The application can be submitted by computer or smartphone, but it may be faster to submit via computer for uploading the necessary documentation
